2009

If you'd like to be an Exhibitor:

On the left side of this page you can print out an applications and agreement for the 24th Annual Marin County Senior Information Fair, held Wednesday, October 21st, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., at the Marin Center Exhibit Hall, 10 Avenue of the Flags, San Rafael.

Simply print out and complete the entire two pages, include your check in the full amount, and mail to the indicated address. Applications without checks will be returned.

Our theme is mystery this year. "WHODUNIT?" salutes the myriad mysteries of life: from history's mysteries, favorite detective stories, and terrific mystery films, to ancient mysteries,  mysteries of the future, and how to best find out what you need to know to make your life work well. The only limit when you plan your spectacular booth presentation, is your imagination…the possibilities are endless. Our always informative and creative exhibitors are the event stars, and will make the 2009 Fair another smash success.
The 4500-5000 visitors will investigate the passions and services that make life worthwhile: health  information, legal and financial  services, travel adventures, hobbies and special interests of all kinds, from music and art, family events, safety, home improvement, adult education, volunteer opportunities, housing possibilities, club activities, sports, dancing, gardening and other pursuits that people enjoy.

Booth fees have not been raised and we are pleased to offer you a discount.
Get a discounted booth rate when you postmark your application by July 14th, 2009. Applications postmarked after July 14th will pay a higher registration rate. Participation is still a true bargain for exhibitors at the North Bay’s largest and most well attended senior event. Fees are clearly listed on the application form. Be sure to include a Business License number or 501(c)3 non profit ID number. Print clearly. You can also link your organization's website to our Fair website, www.marinseniorinformationfair.org for a nominal fee.

Tell us if you are offering something special at your booth.
Booths offering health testing and screenings, demonstrations, hands-on activities and special activities booths will be highlighted on Fair signage, and listed in a special mini program so be sure to tell us about your booth activity plans.

Sutter VNA & Hospice will offer a Flu Shot Clinic. The Tam Quilt Guild plans quilting demonstrations in addition to a colorful Quilt Art display. In another area Media artists will display their paintings and drawings and demonstrate their crafts. Fitness activities,  and a special "WHODUNIT?" MYSTERY TRAIL event will add to the fun of this very special day.

All-day live entertainment
includes music, singing, and dancing to the beat of a Big Band orchestra. Prizes will be awarded. Jan Wahl, popular Bay Area broadcast personality returns once again to emcee the event. We encourage exhibitors to hand out “useful favors and healthful treats” at their booths.

Fair publicity includes
multi-newspaper advertising, a print and broadcast publicity campaign, 10,000 flyers, a special multi-page insert in Marin Independent Journal newspapers which reach 40,000 households, and signage on a freeway electronic billboard.

As always, our exhibitors make the Fair fun and lively with the colorful and imaginative ways they celebrate the theme. We look forward to awarding First, Second and Third Place prizes for the Best Decorated, Most Informative, and Best in Show booths.

Patrice Garrett, Fair Coordinator
