Marin Senior Information Fair Highlights
"What's Your Game?"
Jan Wahl, Main Stage Emcee
Jan Wahl, Bay Area broadcast personality & Main Stage Emcee introduces the entertainers, celebrates the many passions we pursue in our lives, shares her stories, runs an ongoing trivia quiz with prizes, hands out Fair Awards and lots of Special Prizes including a Two-day Three-nite cruise to Vancouver, and tells fairgoers about the many special activities going on around the Fair.
Main Stage Entertainment
On Stage you'll enjoy Tai Chi demonstrations, Line Dancers, the mystery of magic, Singers, a Ross Valley Players performance a scene from the play "Sabrina Fair," - a modern-day Cinderella story that inspired the 1954 film classic Sabrina, starring Audrey Hepburn, Humphrey Bogart, and William Holden. Starduster Orchestra provides music and vocals for listening and ballroom dancing all afternoon. The Main Stage is active from 9AM to 3 PM.
Quilt Art Show
Enjoy the colorful and creative work of the Mt. Tamalpais Quilt Guild at their Quilt Making Demonstrations. Be sure to catch the creative and colorful Gallery of Quilt Art in the in the Central Hallway area of the Fair, on display for your viewing pleasure from 9 AM to 3 PM.
Pastels, Pencils & Paint - Multi Media Art Show & Demonstrations
Includes Hands - On Visitor Participation
Artists Bernard Healey, Donna Solin and Deni Wetsel, will be in residence at the Fair. They'll be working in acrylics, pastels and pencil on their own works-in-progress. In addition, some of their completed works will be on display. All three artists are members of the Museum of Contemporary Art at Hamilton Field Studios. ● Fair visitors are welcome to try their hand at the various media's under the tutelage of these accomplished artists. Solin specializes in pet portraits and area landscapes. Healey, who is an art instructor at the College of Marin has had six recent solo shows in the County. Wetsel specializes in nature scenes and enjoys teaching adults and children.
Flu Shots & Health Screenings
Fair exhibitors can take advantage of a wide variety of health related tests and services offered by our Fair exhibitors: from Flu and Pneumonia Shots provided by Sutter VNA & Hospice, to Chiropractic and Cholesterol tests, Balance Evaluations, Blood Pressure testing, non invasive Vein Screening, Hearing tests, Vision Assessments, and Wheelchair demonstrations. These and many other types of services, information, presentations and hands-on health activities are available from more than 125 Fair exhibitors.
Marin Orchid Society - Display, Demos & Doctoring
If it's Orchids that tickle your fancy, you can view them, touch them, learn to properly plant them, care for them, doctor them, share your experiences, and get your questions answered.
Free Photos & Hands-on Computer Activities
Golden Gate Computer Society's hi-tech experts will be on-hand all day to show you the various ways to use a computer and get more fun out of the one you may be using at home. They'll chat with you about what software and hardware might be best for your needs. Just step right up, ask your questions and try your hand at the keyboards. ● These computer folks will also create a computer photo for you on a first come, first serve basis. Supplies will be limited.
Pole Walking For Mobility & Strength It's Fun!
Use your muscles to help preserve your joints. Visit the Adventure Buddies Fitness Area at the Fair and learn all about it. Jayah Faye Paley, creator of the award-winning DVD POLES for Hiking, Trekking & Walking" will show you how it's done. You'll learn about safety, strength and balance while walking and moving around both inside and out of doors. Unlike a cane or walker, poles are “sporty.” They enable you to have more fun while improving your mobility. Poles enable and empower. Check it out at The Marin Senior Information Fair.
Fitness Thru The Ages
Join Vivian Hoyt at her Wellness through the Ages fitness demonstrations and mini classes. She'll do some one-on-one coaching, answer fitness activity questions you may have and conduct mini-fitness classes for persons of differing ability levels.

Got a lot of memorabilia? Want to hand it down to friends and family in an organized and fun to look at format? Looking for a colorful project to do? Visit Karen of Creative Memories Scrapbooking at the Fair. Tell her your stories. She'll share ideas and show you lots of fun ways to put together your memories of family gatherings, vacation trips, celebrations and more.
