The Fair is open for your enjoyment and participation, Wednesday, October 19, from 9 AM to 3 PM at the Marin Exhibit Hall, 10 Avenue of The Flags, in San Rafael. Admission is free.
Whether you are devotee of the movie, an avid reader, a pursuer of dreams, a lover of celebration and socializing, or simply in search of dependable information – concerning, and of interest to - mature adults and their families, the Fair is the place to be.
Fair visitors are informed, assisted, and entertained at more than 135 cleverly decorated and colorful booths based on the “SEIZE THE DAY! SENIOR POWER!” theme Exhibitors present a variety of hands-on activity centers, a flu shot clinic, numerous free health screenings, housing resource information, legal knowledge, travel, volunteer and educational opportunities, quilting demonstrations and colorful show, computer and camera clinics, medication information, fitness consultations and classes, art demonstrations and media show, and lots of other delightful experiences.
Live music, dancing, prizes, awards, and entertainment are going on all day long emceed by KRON TV and KCBS Radio broadcaster Jan Wahl.
Fair booths present information of interest and concern to older adults, including: housing, legal issues, volunteer opportunities, voting, social security, medication, Medicare, physical therapies, safety and medical equipment, travel, health related issues, home care, hospitals, nutrition, education, physical fitness, hospices, health testing, cultural activities, nutrition, finance, real estate, senior support programs of all kinds, and more.
2011 booth highlights include a variety of Health Evaluations, Computer Lessons, Flu Shots, Spinal Screenings, professional Massage therapy, Chiropractic Evaluations, Blood Pressure checks and other health screenings, food tasting, prize drawings, a Digital Camera Clinic and much, much more
Live entertainment is an all day affair at "SEIZE THE DAY! SENIOR POWER." From ballroom dancing to the strains of the Starduster Orchestra, to a line-up of many performing artists selected for your enjoyment, the day is lively and thoroughly enjoyable.
Fair visitors are enccouraged to enter the Fair's many Prize drawing opportunities. Prizes will be awarded to many lucky Fair goers by broadcast personality Jan Wahl.
Whistlestop Wheels provides free, round trip rides from their Tamalpais Avenue, San Rafael location, to the Fair and back.
For your convenience, Fair visitors who drive and park can take the Free Parking Lot Shuttle Service from the various Fair-parking areas to the Fair's front door - and back to their vehicles.
