Who Are We?
Introducing: The Marin Senior Information Fair
The North Bay’s Largest Senior Event
In 2007 we celebrate the Fair’s 22nd consecutive year. At the Fair, seniors, their families and caregivers discover the diverse organizations that support the needs and interests of older people.
The event also provides a variety of free health screening tests, flu shots, all day entertainment and more. There is another aspect too: the Fair is a wonderful place to meet new people and socialize with friends. The Marin Senior Information Fair celebrates and caters to seniors of all ages, their families, and their caregivers.
Who Puts On The Fair ?
A group of 15-20 volunteers from Bay area businesses, local non profit organizations and retirees from around the County work all year to plan the Fair and to raise funds to support the annual event. We present an event that entertains, informs, supports, celebrates and honors our senior population.
Who Pays For The Fair ?
Exhibitor booth rental fees cover approximately 40 percent of event production expenses. Approximately 100 – 125 booths are leased to non-profit and for-profit organizations. The balance of our funding is made up by generous contributions from the County of Marin, and organizations such as The Tamalpais, Drake Terrace/Kisco Senior Living, Attorney General’s Office Elder and Dependant Adult Abuse Prevention Campaign, Sutter VNA and Hospice, Atria Senior Living. The generosity of these and other supporters makes the Fair possible each year. Visitor admission is free.
